Links We Like
Sure, we want you to hang around our website. But there are so many cool things going on out there on the web. Here are some of the places we’re recommending right now:
- Arts Council of Indianapolis – a not-for-profit local arts agency serving Central Indiana whose mission is to advance and promote the arts through funding, advocacy, business, artistic and technical assistance, public and private support, and technology. It’s all about broad access to the arts—which is what we’re all about at the Harrison Center, too.
- Indiana Arts Commission – advocating engagement with the arts to enrich the quality of individual and community life in Indiana. The Arts Commission encourages the presence of the arts in communities of all sizes while promoting artistic quality and expression. We’re happy for the commission’s support, and we’re doing what we can to engage people in our community through the arts.
- IDADA – Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association is a non-profit, membership-based organization of studio artists, art galleries, and arts-related businesses within the 20-block square of the center of Indianapolis. IDADA is focused on the creation and marketing of unique and original art—exactly what you’ll find at the Harrison Center.
- Herron High School – a public charter school located in downtown Indianapolis, providing a classical liberal arts, college preparatory education. The school’s curriculum is structured around an art history timeline and emphasizes the classic art and literature of many cultures.
- Onthecusp – a local art blog we love, where you can find out what’s up with the arts all over town.
- Art Babble – a new kind of video site dedicated to art and artists. It offers high definition video that features content ranging from contemporary to classical. Babble on.
- Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. – Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. is a not-for-profit company that manages, markets and develops Downtown Indianapolis.
