Megan Jefferson

Megan Jefferson moved to Indianapolis 16 years ago. After graduating with a BFA from Miami University, she’s worked for various non-profit arts organizations and has continued to paint in every free moment. She’s inspired by the colors of sunrises and sunsets, flora, fauna and by the amazing light that illuminates broad skies and landscapes. Megan uses oil paint, watercolors, alcohol inks and oil pastels to create her dream-like semi-abstract landscape paintings. For her, the act of creating forms a bridge between two worlds: the real world and the imaginative world. In the imaginative world emotions are evoked, dreams are inspired and color is celebrated. Megan’s love of color, form and expression puts her on a path of exploration and discovery that fuels her passion to paint.
