Get Hyped for IMAF this Saturday!
THIS Saturday, June 16th, it's the 17th annual Independent Music + Art Festival (IMAF) presented by Circle City Apartments! This free festival is the biggest event that the Harrison Center puts on-- and we do a lot of crazy stuff. Check out this video of last year’s IMAF and get connected to our Facebook page to stay updated!
Come one, come all from 12:00pm-8:00pm to mingle, shop, eat and drink, dance, enjoy live original music, support local artisans, and strengthen Indy’s community!
Our familiar home on N. Delaware Street will be transformed to welcome not only 12 local bands, but also 100+ modern craft art vendors, AND about 8,000 participants in our community-building endeavor.
Here’s this year’s lineup of local musicians: Asante Children's Theatre, The Yellow Kites, Mariah Ivey & TribesouL, The Dopacetics, Jack Droppers and the Best Intentions, Fern Murphy, Hex Mundi, Sarah Grain and the Billions of Stars, Legacy of Triumph, Dream Chief and Joshua Powell and the Great Train Robbery.
We’re partnering with the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange again to foster our engaging, dynamic art fair. We invite you to explore the outside and inside of the Harrison Center, in the Speck Gallery and in the gymnasium, where you can find IHE vendors scattered throughout.
The art fair will have everything handmade, high-quality, and beautiful: from locally sourced luxurious soaps, to hilariously charming prints and cards, to Indy-native popcorn, coffee and beer favorites, to witty and empowering Ts, to hand-sewn stuffed animals that could warm anyone’s heart, and much more!
Creative placemaking is one of the pillars of the Harrison Center’s mission, and IMAF is an excellent example of how the arts can spark business and bring people together-- what more could a city want!
