Meet Haley!
Hello! My name is Haley Hunt and I am very excited to be a new intern at the Harrison Center!
I have lived in and around Indianapolis for most of my life and have been coming to the Harrison Center for as long as I can remember. The Harrison Center was one of the first places that I was introduced to the art world, but Bloomington, Indiana is where I ultimately decided that I wanted to have a career in it. I am currently a junior at Indiana University, where I have majors in Art History and International Studies and a minor in French language. While my passion is definitely the study of other artists and their work, I have also tried my fair share of art creation in my life. I love to make ceramic pieces when I have free time and have been curating a wardrobe to match my ever-changing sense of style for years. During my internship at the Harrison Center, I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to post on this blog, and even more excited that the posts will be about the current art shows and not about me. But while we’re still talking about me, I am hoping to have a long career in the field of my passion: museum curation. In my dream world, I would work in New York City or Paris in a museum or gallery as curator. When I’m not spending my time dreaming of different cities that I hope to live in, I love to practice my bass and listen to music. I am recently getting into listening to music on tapes because it gives me the vintage feeling that I crave as a 20-year-old but is much cheaper than a record collection. I also love to read and watch movies when I have some free time.
I hope that you enjoyed getting to know me a little bit and I can’t wait to post about shows and exhibitions from the Harrison Center on here!
