Welcome Back, Yeabi
My name is Yeabsera Tabb. I recently graduated college with a Design for Social Impact and Fine Arts Degree. I am a social impact designer and interdisciplinary visual artist. My process merges design research with visual storytelling working with printmaking, papermaking, painting, textiles, and mixed media.
I am a returning Creative Placemaking fellow. I love art and the power it has to bring new perspectives into spaces and allow us to see and create beauty. I was a creative placemaking intern for the past two summers at the Harrison Center. This year I am excited to return for a year long fellowship.
I am looking forward to creating art that honors and preserves history. I built relationships with Martindale Brightwood neighbors when I worked as an intern for the past two summers. I am excited to return and work alongside neighbors and friends. This year I hope to use my passion for making and storytelling to continue building relationships with my surrounding community.
