Caroline Park: Harrison Center Fellow
Caroline Park is a Korean-American artist with a focus in illustration, printmaking, and photography. She was a part-time Fall intern who is excited to continue learning and growing in a 12-month, full-time Fellowship.
She received her bachelor's degree in studio art from Wheaton College, Illinois, this past year. Her work, often rendered in charcoal and ink, is an invitation to meditate on the spaces in between. Through navigating themes such as mental illness and gender stigma, she seeks to dignify the beauty in darkness, not exalt it; to celebrate life's challenges, but not yield to them. And to have fun making, of course.
Her new role focuses on developing methods of visual engagement and storytelling, specifically incorporating new new mediums such as augmented reality and digital graphics.
