Days Gone By
Days Gone By is the newest exhibit by local artist Courtland Blade, showing for the month of February in the Harrison Gallery. The show is "a reflective journey through time, capturing the essence of moments that have shaped our collective and personal histories." Blade's objective in showcasing his work as a "window into the past" is the idea that each painting intentionally evokes a sense of nostalgia and contemplation.
Primarily a painter in practice, Blade showcases his skill vibrantly in oil paintings that explore themes of memory, change, and the enduring beauty of familiar spaces. Each piece includes a space that may not be specific to the viewer's life experience but still invites them to pause and reflect on the stories that have been etched into the fabric of our lives, celebrating the timeless connection between art and memory.
Days Gone By is open to the public anytime through the month of February during our posted gallery hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery through March.
