Welcome Back, Julia!
Hi! I’m Julia Peyton, and I’m returning as an intern for the Harrison Center this summer. This is my second summer interning here, and I previously served as an intern during the school year while I was a student at Herron High School. I’ve recently finished my first year at Indiana University-Bloomington, majoring in arts management through the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
This summer, I’ll focus on gaining more experience in arts administration, working mainly with the gallery coordinator Sarah Peacock. Being an intern at the Harrison Center allows me to gain important first-hand experience in the arts community and inspires me to pursue arts management. One of my favorite things about the Harrison Center is its focus on community. The Harrison Center intentionally welcomes and involves the local community in so many ways, making art accessible to all. I have come to deeply appreciate how art can heal and bring communities together, and I hope to use my experience here to share the arts with even more communities in my future career.
