Welcome, Simone!
Hello! My name is Simone Maxim, and I am a senior at Herron High School. I am originally from California, and I moved to downtown Indy my freshman year of high school. The arts have always had a large influence on my life, whether it is making music, writing, or making my own clothes! I am so excited to be involved with the Harrison Center, as their mission of using art and stories to connect both individuals and broader communities is something that resonates deeply with me.
This year, I am hoping to get involved in film and screenwriting to help advance current projects, such as Rasheeda's Freedom Day. I am also interested in telling the important stories of the neighborhoods of downtown Indy and the artists that are involved here, either through short documentaries or films! I am eager to be involved with like-minded creatives and learn from them, as well as gain valuable hands-on experience in film and the arts in general.
