On October 7th, 2022, join us for First Friday! Enjoy these openings:

  1. Spooky! by Emma Overman in the Speck Gallery. A series of acrylic paintings in a mildly haunted display of gentle spirits and seasonal friends celebrating the wonders of autumn. This show will be fun for all ages - but watch your back! Some eyes may follow you.

  2. Limbo by Courtland Blade in the City Gallery. A collection of oil paintings exploring urban Indianapolis in both a universal and personal perspective in this time of limbo.

  3. Lauren and Friends: a Two-Thirds Tribute by Two-Thirds Studio in the Gallery Annex. A group exhibit featuring work by Daniel Del Real, Christina Hollering, and Katherine Fries along with the work of Lauren Ditchley, a member of the collective who recently passed away.

  4. Ghost Hands by Beth Guipe Hall in the Harrison Gallery. This exhibit combines the artist’s signature encaustic collage techniques with an exploration of traditional fiber arts. Developed in collaboration with several friends from the local arts community, the show is a tribute to countless generations of women who, despite limited opportunities in the public sphere, created intricate, handcrafted textile works in the course of their daily domestic lives.

  5. Settings by Ryan Collier in the Hank & Dolly’s Gallery. Wood and fabric furniture alongside pencil, ink, and paint works display the intentionality of cultivating in-person relationships.

  6. The Agony and The Ecstasy: Act One will feature paintings by Quincy Owens in the Sky Gallery and sculptures by Owens+Crawley on the rooftop deck.

  7. IU Health CompleteLife Art Show 2022: Finding Calm in the Chaos in the Underground Gallery. This artwork was created by the caregivers, patients, and staff of the IU Health Simon Cancer Center.

All shows will open at 6 pm Friday, October 7th.

In-person gallery tours will open for visitors Monday-Friday from 9 am - 5 pm. Online galleries will open on October 10th. Make an appointment or view the online galleries at harrisoncenter.org/buy-art.
