Announcing the William A. Rasdell Education Fund |
We cannot express our gratitude enough for all who came out on First Friday to honor our friend William "Bill" Rasdell. We are also humbled to receive a memorial gift of $25,000 from Trent and Amy Cowles to seed the William A. Rasdell Education Fund to support artists. This amazing gift and the sheer number of people in attendance was a testament to Bill's impact on those around him. Trent was one of the many friends who shared stories and memories about Bill. You can read his moving tribute on our blog.
Thank you to Jeremy Efromyson and the Efromyson Fund for supporting the event. Thank you to Cathy Morris and Arts With a Purpose for gathering legendary jazz performers, and thank you to friends Trent Cowles, Sarah Beanblossom, Sandy Blanton, Bill and Joanna Taft, and Dave Thomas for lending their personal art, videos and photos celebrating Bill.
If you would like to contribute to the Willliam A. Rasdell Education Fund to help artists thrive and succeed as Bill did, you can do so by visiting our donation page and selecting 'Willliam A. Rasdell Education Fund' in the Initiative section. |
