In Martindale Brightwood
The Harrison Center serves our neighbors in the city by sharing our resources. We supported artist Cierra Johnson in helping Martindale Brightwood plan and integrate placemaking into their Community Creator's conference. Over the weekend, Musician in residence, Nabil Ince, worked with youth from Kipp Indy in sharing their hopes and dreams for a new neighborhood plan.
Meet Sydney
Sydney Melrose is a Herron High student interning with us this fall. Through her work with us, Sydney is learning about arts administration. We appreciate her friendly demeanor and professional posture helping out behind the front desk.
Volunteer sign-ups for November First Friday are open! If you're looking for ways to support Indy's art community, First Fridays at the Harrison Center are a perfect opportunity. Volunteers make First Fridays special experiences for everyone.
Our annual letter is unlike any other. We commission a local artist to create 5000 art envelopes which we stuff with our annual update. If you are on our mailing list, watch for your envelope. If you are not on our list, but would like to be, contact us at info@harrisoncenter.org. We would love to share our story and work with you. Watch the video above to learn about the process Beth Guipe Hall used in making these pieces of art.
