Hoop, There It Is

February’s exhibit in the Annex Gallery, Hoop, There It Is, is a celebration of Indiana's deep-rooted love for basketball, from grade schools to professional leagues. The exhibition not only celebrates the sport but also serves as a cultural ode to the sense of urgency and anticipation that permeates the basketball season. The combination of artistic expression and the Hoosier basketball fervor creates a unique atmosphere that resonates with viewers, making them fans regardless of their initial inclination toward basketball. This fusion of art and sports is a testament to the diverse and dynamic cultural landscape that Harrison Center contributes to, fostering a shared experience that goes beyond traditional boundaries.

Artists participating in this show are as varied as players on a basketball team; Kyle Ragsdale, Kristi Marsh Watson, John Moore, Johnson Simon, Megan Jefferson, Cierra Johnson, H. Ward Miles, Neelima Devana, Paige Wind, Rebeca Robinson, Elyce Elder, Phillip Lynam, Quincy Owens, Johnny McKee, Derrick Carter, Margot Harper, Audrey & Allison Ford, and Beth Guipe Hall. Whether you're a basketball enthusiast or not, the exhibit promises to captivate viewers, offering a breath of color and energy that resonates with the urgency and excitement of the basketball season.
