Meet Shakila Shrestha

My name is Shakila Shrestha, and I'm thrilled to be interning at the Harrison Center! I am currently studying graphic design at Purdue University in Indianapolis. Art, design, and photography have always been my passions, and I'm so excited to dive into this internship, where I can combine all of those interests with a bit of professionalism to create a design world.

I'm a huge fan of how innovative and forward-thinking the Harrison Center is, especially with its deep connection to the Martindale-Brightwood Neighborhood. They are all about creating meaningful impact, and that's exactly the kind of environment I want to be in. I knew this would be the perfect spot to learn, grow, and maybe discover a few design tricks I didn’t know existed. Oh, and let's not forget the amazing local artists you collaborate with—I'm excited to be surrounded by such creativity and inspiration!

During my time here, I'm eager to develop new skills, like mastering industry-standard tools and collaborating on real-world projects with different artistic clients. I'd also like to pick up some insider knowledge on areas of design I haven't explored yet.
