Annual Art & Food Truck Festival
Join Herron High School this Saturday, May 13th from 4-9pm for the Annual Arts and Food Truck Festival!
For the past five months, I've had the privilege of leading the Community Arts Council to plan this event, an annual show of student artistic accomplishments with the backdrop of food trucks galore. The Community Arts Council is a student-run organization sponsored by art teachers Trevor Renwick and Susan Grade, and caters the largest art exhibition for Herron. This year, the Gallery in Russell Hall will host new icons paintings created by the painting class (typically juniors), along with a curated selection of 2D and 3D works from all grade levels. Directly upstairs from the Gallery is the Theatre room, where student directors and actors will perform a variety of scenes throughout the night, and be intermixed by performances from Herron dance classes. 11 food trucks will be parked in the Fesler lot, where both local musicians and Herron bands will play.
Entrance to the Food Truck lot is $5, all proceeds going to Herron athletics. Events in Russell Hall (Gallery and Theatre) are free. This event is for the whole Herron community--students, parents, and neighbors are all welcome!
