IDADA 10th Anniversary at IMAF
For well over a decade, we've been celebrating independent creatives on the 2nd Saturday in June at the Independent Music + Art Festival. Next Saturday, we have even more to celebrate as 2015 marks the ten year anniversary of the IDADA First Friday Art Tour. IDADA (the Indianapolis Downtown Artists & Dealers Association) created Indy's First Friday Art Tour "to make it an art night, a true event where anyone could come and enjoy the local art scene." Additionally, IDADA has provided "a stronger voice to go after cultural tourism and obtain arts funding, all while providing networking, advice, and advocacy to its member artists."
On June 13th, look for IDADA representatives both outside in the courtyard and inside the Harrison Center in Hank & Dolly's Gallery. Local artist Katrina Murray will lead an interactive art activity wherein artists will respond to an eclectic mix of recordings curated by Classical Music Indy President & CEO, Charles Stanton. The public can participate as well!
So, come to the Harrison Center on June 13th, take in the art and music, and join with us as we celebrate ten years of IDADA First Friday Art Tours.
The Independent Music + Art Festival takes place at the Harrison Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 13 from noon to 8pm.
