Nathan Foxton
Nathan Foxton is a 2D artist working primarily as an oil painter, but also in collage, photography, digital collage, acrylic, gouache, and drawing mediums. In undergrad he immersed himself in the idea that painting could be a powerful tool in creating a connection with place: culturally, historically, physically, ideologically, and with nature. In graduate school, he says, "I couldn’t ‘land’ in the same way and I had to confront what it was that fascinated me about painting itself. I’m now figuring out how to collide themes of invention and discovery with an observed space. My practice grounds me in active engagement." nathan.foxton@gmail.com | nathanfoxton.com
