Cheatham and Moore is located in the Maple Crossing Great Place, a designated district that is focusing on improving livability, opportunity, vitality and education for its residents.  Maple Crossing is a partnership between Butler Tarkington, Meridian Kessler, Mapleton Fall Creek and Crown Hill neighborhoods.

The video is part of a creative placemaking program in Maple Crossing, celebrating long term residents and business owners and elevating stories of place.  The video is set to Nabil Ince’s original song about Cheatham and Moore, Barbershop a Blessing.

This summer we have had an army of interns activating spaces, creating art and writing songs about Maple Crossing, the Great Places 2020 district where Cheatham and Moore is located. With support from the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, the City of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Housing Partnership, United Way of Indianapolis, and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, efforts are being focused on transforming the neighborhoods of Maple Crossing and spurring inclusive revitalization to improve livability, opportunity, viability and education.
