Virginia Avenue Folk Fest

Virginia Avenue Folk Fest

The Fountain Square neighborhood has become one Indy’s most beloved cultural hotspots. With its own small town, down home vibe, Fountain Square offers a delightfully eccentric environment of Appalachian folklore and Midwestern hospitality, and on May 9th, this unique cultural milieu will reach a cordial crescendo in the first ever Virginia Avenue Folk Fest.

As a free, all day celebration of Indy’s pulsing creative community, the Virginia Avenue Folk Fest will feature over 60 local and regional acts on seven different stages along Virginia Avenue. Proceeds from the festival will benefit Trusted Mentors, a local organization that uses the power of mentoring to help adults establish stable lives by reducing the chaos brought about by poverty, homelessness, under-employment, and the effects of incarceration.

So if you're itching for a good time filled with music, art, local food, local beer, and some good old fashioned Hoosier hospitality, mark your calendars, folks! The Virginia Avenue Folk Fest is coming your way! If you’re also interested in volunteering, click the link here and sign up. See you there!
