Hear Emma Overman Talk About Voyages
|
For the month of October, the Harrison Gallery is exhibiting Voyages by Emma Overman, a creative exploration of vibrant characters and stories and an enchanting voyage through the artist's mind.
In this show, Overman invites the viewer to journey with her to meet a lively cast of creatures and discover the unique stories they create. These paintings feature a wide array of characters, from a band of vegetable-stealing rabbits to a snake in a harlequin sweater and ruff, while the titles give a hint to the story within each painting.

Experience the Vibrancy of Graffiti in a New Light |
For October, Hank and Dolly's Gallery is exhibiting Ess McKee's show MUTATIONS OF THE SAME ESSENCE. McKee's collection of pieces are inspired by graffiti street art and incorporates different surfaces for each piece including loose canvas, chipped wood, and spray cans.
McKee credits graffiti artistry as a major inspiration for her work as a whole. Referencing the title of the show, this is McKee's first time dedicating an entire show to that medium. And while each piece is different, they possess the same nature. Learn more on our blog.
The show can be viewed anytime in the Hank & Dolly's Gallery through the month of October: Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery through November. |
