Every month, the City Gallery exhibits place-based artwork that celebrates the city of Indianapolis. For the month of March, the gallery is featuring Jessica Green’s oil paintings.

Green’s work is a celebration of Indianapolis and its everyday beauty. wINDows is a playful title for paintings that act as a window into Indianapolis and the people who call it home. Many of her paintings in this collection feature iconic Indianapolis locations such as Monument Circle, Central Library, the State House, views from Salesforce, and more.

The show can be viewed anytime during the month of March in the City Gallery during Gallery Hours: Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery through April.

Art Billboard through the Years

If you've ever driven by the corner of 16th & Delaware, you have seen this house-- it's literally hard to miss.

For years, the display of ads on the side of a residence was a blight. In 2013, the HC began renting the billboard to transform it into a frame for art. Changing several times a year, new artists offer perspectives on beauty.

The Way I See

For the month of March, the Hank & Dolly’s gallery is featuring Mandie Anderson’s portraits of young individuals living with disabilities titled The Way I See. This exhibit is a unique opportunity to experience art in a new way. Anderson was inspired to make art that goes beyond the visual and is fully accessible, incorporating textures that participants are invited to touch.

The Red Dot

The rules are simple: whoever places a red dot first--the traditional cue an artwork is sold--claims the prized painting. All manner of tricks and tactics to outwit each other are permitted.
