| The Barbershop by Dr. Clete Ladd |
Guests at this month's First Friday event were treated to a reader's theater performance by the participants of the Greatriarch playwriting class, in collaboration with the Second Act Playwriting Project.
Dr. Clete Ladd's reading of his work, "The Barbershop," was especially captivating. Dr. Ladd is an author, public speaker, presenter, youth activist, and minister. So, naturally, his words resonated with the audience. If you missed his reading or would like to watch it again, you can find it here.

| We Couldn't Do This Without You! |
Thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to make Harrison Center’s events possible in the past year! We’re excited to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week by recognizing the more than 1,050 hours that volunteers spent at the Harrison Center, advancing art and culture in Indianapolis with their time. From greeting guests at First Fridays to setting up and running Bloombox Festival in the summer to providing extra hands for office tasks or special projects, volunteers’ time was worth more than $30,200 in value to Harrison Center. Whether you volunteered for one First Friday or at every Harrison Center event, thank you so much!
As you are making your summer plans, please consider volunteering! Volunteers are needed for May’s First Friday, Bloombox, and more! |
