2024 Forty Under 40⎮HC Vice Chair Ashley Scruggs

The Harrison Center is excited to share that Vice Chair/Board Member Ashley Scruggs has recently been named in Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty Under 40.

Ashley joined the Harrison Center's Board of Directors in 2021 and is currently the Vice President of Talent and Culture for the United Way of Central Indiana. Learn more about Ashley in the IBJ article announcing this honor.

Bloombox & INDIEana Handicraft Exchange Now Branded Under One Name

We said goodbye to the IMAF brand last summer, and this year, we are saying goodbye to the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange brand. But don't be sad—these Indy favorites have merged into one new brand, Bloombox Festival.

After 14+ years of hosting the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange, a contemporary craft fair, at our annual music festival, we are excited to strengthen the bond between the two event entities.

Vendor applications for the June 15, 2024, event are now live. You can apply to be a part of this event as an artist/crafter/maker vendor at the link below.

Solar Eclipse at Harrison Center

Last week, the Harrison Center hosted an incredible solar eclipse viewing event on our Sky Deck. People from all over the city gathered to witness this rare and awe-inspiring phenomenon. This was not only a great opportunity to view the eclipse, but it also provided a unique opportunity to connect with others in the community.

If you're still riding the eclipse "high" like we are, check out the Harrison Center's galleries, which currently showcase solar and lunar-themed art exhibits through the end of the month. The exhibits include Season of the Moon by India Cruse-Griffin, Nocturnes by Allen Bannister, Sola x Luna by Kristi Marsh Watson, Ultraprayer by Caleb John Smith, and Lunaris, a group exhibition.

Encompass

Hank & Dolly’s Gallery is exhibiting Chris Bowman’s wooden sculptures for the month of April. Bowman has a background in functional and nonfunctional woodworking and furniture making and crafted this work using Baltic birch, mahogany, and milk paint.
