Barb Kuckle's work, a mixed media ensemble on paper and canvas, delves into the profound theme of heritage passed down from our parents, exploring the inextricable roots and bones that shape our beings. It's an introspective reflection on the foundational elements we inherit, woven into the very fabric of our lives. Learn more on our blog.
The show can be viewed anytime in the Gallery Annex through the month of August: Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The works can also be viewed and purchased on our online gallery through September. |

My name is Emma Foster. I am a senior at Herron High School and an intern at the Harrison Center. I am interested in pursuing a career in Architecture, possibly historical architecture. I aim to pursue this career at the University of Cincinnati or Ball State University.
As I look towards my future, I want to expand my horizons in art and gain more knowledge of different types of art. I plan to use everything I learn here at the Harrison Center to improve my designs and ability to present different types of projects, as well as gain insight into what it is like to work in an art-focused environment.

Do you have peace of mind that the people, pets, places and philanthropic organizations that you love will have lasting support in the future? As Make-a-Will month wraps up, now is a great time to think about your estate plans. Creating an estate plan lets you make key decisions about your finances and assets and can help your family avoid lengthy legal processes.
If you are creating or updating your will in the near future, you can name Harrison Center to be a beneficiary in your estate plans. You can designate a percentage of your estate to Harrison Center and leave an inheritance to your family. When you make a planned gift in your will or other estate documents, you ensure that your support for the arts and community continues into the future as part of your legacy. Be a Cultural Entrepreneur
|
A cultural entrepreneur is a person who sees a need, takes a risk, invests energy, leverages resources, and networks to build culture in Indianapolis.
The Harrison Center has a unique internship program for high school and college students that combines their passion for the arts with the spirit of entrepreneurship, helping them understand what it takes to launch and sustain successful artistic ventures in the real world.
Internship programs are essential in cultivating students' skills, presenting them with opportunities to form professional networks throughout the community while permitting them to encounter real-life experiences in the working environment. The Cultural Entrepreneurship Initiative aims to help recruit, train, and release new cultural entrepreneurs into Indianapolis, helping to enhance the city's cultural vitality and economic prosperity.
