Meet Addison Hasenour

Hi! My name is Addison (Addy) Hasenour, and I am a new intern at the Harrison Center! I am currently a senior at Herron High School and am interested in studying studio art in college with a possible minor in journalism or something in the English realm. I have studied studio art not only in high school but also in New York, where I learned how artists fit into the art scene in the city. I am excited to expand my opportunities by being a part of a lively art community within my neighborhood. 

As far as my hobbies go, I enjoy painting with acrylic, but have recently been experimenting with different mediums, such as ink and gouache! I love to read, listen to music, and watch movies/TV shows! My favorite book is Just Kids by Patti Smith, and my favorite movies and songs change almost daily (though my current TV shows to binge are How I Met Your Mother and Buffy The Vampire Slayer). I am usually up late at night doing homework or reading/painting for fun. I love going to the movie theater, specifically the AMC in Glendale, because they have the best popcorn. 

I am excited about this opportunity to intern at the Harrison Center because I want to gain experience working in such an artistic environment and interacting with those who keep it going! I want to learn how the artists working within the Harrison Center have turned their passion and artistic ability into a profession because it is a challenge I hope to take on in the future. The experience I gain from this internship will be helpful as I decide how I want to continue my love for art in the future.
