Meet Emma Foster
My name is Emma Foster. I am a senior at Herron High School and an intern at the Harrison Center. I am interested in pursuing a career in Architecture, possibly historical architecture. I aim to pursue this career at the University of Cincinnati or Ball State University.
As I look towards my future, I want to expand my horizons in art and gain more knowledge of different types of art. I plan to use everything I learn here at the Harrison Center to improve my designs and ability to present different types of projects, as well as gain insight into what it is like to work in an art-focused environment.
Here are some fun facts about me: I love sketching and drawing random buildings throughout the city. I have been working on improving my ability to complete ink drawings by embracing the art of drawing a line and sticking to it without erasing it. I also really enjoy photography. When I was younger, I participated in 4-H competitions for photography where I focused on a lot of nature photography, but as time has passed, I have grown to love candid photography. I feel as though candid photography shows people's genuine emotions as they do their thing. I love music! I have been engaged with music in some way throughout most of my life. The most prominent involvement of music in my life has been my performance of the flute for the past 6 years. For the past 3 years, I have been playing in my school's jazz band and jazz combo, along with our symphony orchestra.
