Deccember is coming, marking our 15th color-themed holiday group show and this year we are feeling blue! Every year, the Harrison Center casts a wide net and calls on artists to send us their best "fill-in-the-color" work. Blue Indy will take place on Friday, December 2nd and, as is the tradition, will be our biggest group show of the year. If you are an artist and have not seen the call for entries, this post is for you! If you aren't an artist, but know someone who is, feel free to share! The Harrison Center for the Arts is seeking submissions for our annual color-themed holiday show. This year's show is titled Blue Indy! To be considered, entries must incorporate the color blue, but may also include any other color(s). In keeping with the “Blue Indy” theme, entries may also (but are not required to) give a nod to BlueIndy cars (this year's sponsor) or the Indiana Bicentennial. Mostly, we want pieces that best represent you and your work. See details regarding entries, deadlines, etc. below.

-We are accepting all media.

-If you are submitting video, you will need to supply your own video equipment. -Pieces that are not easily hung should be installed by the artist. -Artwork must be presented in a professional manner and delivered wired and ready to hang. (No sawtooth hangers.) If an accepted entry is delivered in a format that is not ready to hang or after 7pm on Monday, November 28, 2016, it will not be exhibited. -Harrison Center retains the right to decline artwork based on appropriateness for all audiences and will have final approval of the content of work hung. -Submit up to 3 jpeg images (labeled: lastname_title) by email by 5pm on Friday, November 11, 2016. -Submitted images should be of a finished product (not a concept). -Artists who are selected to participate in the show will be notified by Friday, November 18, 2016. -Work included in the show must be for sale. Work that is sold after the show closes, but as a result of the Harrison Center show and events will be subject to the Harrison Center commission rate for a period of 90 days. -Harrison Center takes a 30% commission on sales. -If your work is chosen for the show, it should be delivered to the City Gallery at the Harrison Center on either Wednesday, November 23 between 8:30am and 5:00pm or Monday, November 28 between 8:30am and 7:00pm.
