Collage has a powerful connection to memory. Bobby Gilbreath mixed personal family photos with clippings from Time Magazine to make this body of work. His show is titled Kindred and is currently on display in our Gallery Annex.
Take a look at the Bloombox 2023 Photo Album! If you or someone you know was at Bloombox last Saturday, they might have made an appearance in the album. Check it out.
Music in the Community
Seaux Chill (Nabil Ince) hosted a youth workshop with the Felege Hiywot Center. This is one of many workshops he will coordinate this summer as he continues sharing his love of music and the arts with the youth in our neighborhoods.
Connect with Seaux Chill and follow along with his Harrison Center Joyce Award residency here.
Welcome, Harry!
Harry Danz IV is joining us as a video intern this summer! Harry will be attending Columbia College in Chicago in the fall to study film and television production with an emphasis in film directing and a minor in wellbeing and mental health. Harry has already begun making an impact at the Harrison Center—from filming Bloombox Festival to conducting video interviews with long-term neighborhood residents.
Allow Harry to introduce himself. Read his intro blog here.
Enamoiré: Last Look
