Happy Juneteenth! Today we celebrate the freedom, history, and joy of the Black community. Dan Handskillz - Portraits of Indy Dan Handskillz has filled our City Gallery with his infectious energy and work showcasing important parts of Indianapolis's story—from musicians playing to beautifully lit nighttime cityscapes. Read about his show, Known/Unknown, here, or browse these works in our online gallery. Bloombox In-Review Did you make it to our Bloombox Festival on Saturday? We had the time of our lives with local musicians and the Indieana Handicraft Exchange. We will post more pictures soon, so stay tuned for the official Bloombox 2023 photo album. Speaking of Bloombox 2023, we are so proud of our high school interns, Taylor Solomon and Grace Graves, who spent eight months planning it. Now that the festival is over, Grace will continue as a songwriting and music production intern. This is the second summer Grace will be spending at the Harrison Center. Stay tuned to hear some of the music she produces later this summer. Read more about Grace here. Meet the Chef - Tawana Gulley Chef Tawana will be the chef for the July 10th Art Dish. Gulley's creates globally inspired meals sourced from fresh, local ingredients. She is the CEO and chef of Healthy Soul, which operates in the Amp @ 16 Tech.  Sign up to attend July's Art Dish, which will feature the work of artist Kevin James Wilson. The Alley Project Well, folks, our alley needs some work. Over the years, The historic alleyway behind the Harrison Center has "aged"—and not very gracefully. We have dreams of bringing it to life through public art, light installations, repairs, and several themed scavenger hunts. To make these dreams a reality, we need your help. Consider donating below.
