There & Back: A Collaborative Project
|
The Harlem Renaissance was a transformative period in American history, marking an explosion of Black art, music, and literature that shaped the cultural landscape of the 20th century. There and Back, now on display in the Annex Gallery for the month of February, pays tribute to this movement through a collaborative retrospective that reimagines its legacy.
This collaborative project, led by artist Kayla Harvey, brings together a group of Harrison Center artists to honor Harlem Renaissance icons through the cyanotype process, a light-sensitive photographic technique.

For Alter, making art is a deeply personal process in which the act of painting becomes an alchemy-like process of expression. Whether he is seeking to capture the sensations of being in a specific place or a particular emotion, Alter's abstract works are bursting with his unique energy. This show is open to the public anytime through the month of February during our posted gallery hours: Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Blog | Online Gallery |
