Art Patron Conversations Former Harrison Center intern and art patron Michael Lowery offers his perspective on the importance of supporting your local art community in the newest Art Patron Talk. In the interview, Michael describes what draws him to a piece of art and what drives him to make a purchase.
As a young art patron, Michael has a unique and helpful perspective—providing an example to others looking for creative ways to engage with the Indianapolis art market. He also shows us that age is not a barrier to becoming an art patron, helping artists establish careers in Indianapolis.
IMAF in Review What a great day! We had a break from the extreme heat and enjoyed clear skies as we celebrated local bands and artisans.
We want to thank the musicians, volunteers, and vendors who made the day such a success. Special thanks to our sponsors: @properties, 16 Gateway, Sun King Brewery, Merchants Bank of Indiana, Compendium, Foundry, Gallery Pastry, and Allstate. Be on the lookout for our 2022 IMAF Recap video, and mark next year's calendar for IMAF 2023. Scattered Focus│Random Memories In the Gallery Annex this month, artist Britt Richie is sharing a series of oil paintings titled Scattered Focus │Random Memories. This show is a meditation on Richie's experience of joy, sadness, and wonder in response to personal trials.
Read about this show here, and check out the gallery annex this month to see the show in person. These works are available for browsing and purchase in our online gallery. In the Press
